Love the pink and black combo of colors. It came out fantastic.

I agree with Oksewglad about the backing matching the vintage top.

I'm still binding but I'm getting closer.

All the finishes are terrific. Nice job to all. Now if only I had time to get in my sewing room and finish mine. When I do get in there I always have some other pressing matter happening....like gift sewing and my clubs mystery quilt and the challenge quilt that is nearly finished but not done yet. Meanwhile, I am still planting my garden and we have just returned from a 1 week vacation. On and on.....excuses, excuses. I know. I love seeing everyone's finishes.

I'm with you beebonnet. I was out planting tomatoes, mowing, making shelves and what all instead of quilting. It doesn't help that I found three pleats in the boarder while I was hand sewing the back of the binding. Grrrrrh, how am I suppose to get them out of there.

LOL...can't find my lawn mower key...I blame the sewing room gremlins, but I hate when the grass gets tall enough to almost make hay. I did sew today for LQS and yesterday supervised 11 yo 4-Her with fair exhibit sewing.

Is that like the old saw "How drunk I am, how wet I'll be, if I don't find the bathroom key."?

I'm sorry it just popped into my head. What can I say I have a sick sense of humor.

This has been a good month, this month's UFO project started with 42 blocks, I am ending the month with all blocks sashed and joined into three sections. My plans are to quilt sections..2 are 6 joined sashed blocks x 2 joined rows and the middle section is 6 joined sashed blocks x 3 joined rows. Then quilt the borders and after that join all the quilted units. But not this month...it will stay a UFO for now but farther along.

Sounds like some great progress Judy!

I too have made some good progress on UFOs for the month...last night and today I got backings and bindings cut, pieced and ironed for four quilt tops and one table topper (42" square). One of these tops needed a border so that is on now too. Tomorrow I will get backing and batting cut for a QAYG project. I hope to get at least 2 tops all quilted and bound during June...we'll see how that goes.

This one has been a UFO for a while - finally finished it for my sister in law, who is venturing into the wild world of homeschooling next year. Made with Kona Solids Slate Rock fat quarter pack and quilted with a variegated blue and grayAurafil (sorry, I don't remember which one)

Kaelyn--your quilt turned out great. I like the pattern and the quilting you did. Homeschooling is fun!
