I was doing some cleaning yesterday, trying to prepare for a move to a new home later this year and guess what I found? Of course another UFO. I discovered that I created three this summer! All need to be layered, quilted and bound. I know what I really like to do......piece tops! Well, today is quilt work day with my guild, so, I will be taking one.... just one quilt to be finished! Let's see what happens.

WMUTeach, I used to think that I had tons of UFOs as well which created stress in my mind and a feeling of overwhelm. Then I found out that finished tops are called FLIMSIES and that cut my actual UFOs down to a few. Granted, I have 19 or so flimsies but that's OK. Good luck with yours.

Mad Quiltler, I arrived home with one more finished flimsey! I call the flimsies too and have not counted them to see how many are piling up. Now, new goal for this week......layer and quilt one tomorrow after church and then settle down for an evening of old movies and hand sewing the binding. Thanks for the encouragement! The by next week this time a second flimsey finished before I start a new quilt.

DJ you sound so familiar I too have unfinished projects in every area. I hate it when I don't get things finished. Maybe this will encourage me to get busy!

I finished the community quilt top done with Oh Susannah blocks, and cut the binding and sewed it together. It's already for sandwiching next tuesday at the group. Very happy about that. It came together looking better than I expected.

On block 5 of the star flower quilt so almost 1/3 of the way done with that top. I'm happy with what is happening.

    Default Sept. UFO is quilted.

    Hi everyone,

This is my UFO for September. It's not done, done, but I thought I would share it. I rented time on a LA today to get it quilted to. The binding will have to be cut from leftover fabrics, so it will be scrappy. I love the look of the spirals against the geometric piecing.

Judy: Really nice set. Love to have sets to use on a daily basis. Plays with color: You sure live up to your name. That is one stupendous quilt. Congratulations on the finishes.
