Marich52...Wow! 8 finishes... Makes our total 289! What a year you have had. Only a few more days to go...Will we make it to 300? Even if not, 289 is a pretty good number.

I am so incredibly close to finishing my oldest UFO, which I started 27 December 2010. I just finished hand quilting it tonight and it only needs a binding to finish it. I've calculated things and I should have enough fabric left to actually make the binding. I'll be cutting and sewing the binding strip tomorrow, and putting it on with my machine on one side, so I guess we'll see then. If I end up not having enough, I'll have to wait until at least January 2nd to buy more fabric, as my LQS is closed until then. And then it will be crossing my fingers I can find a fabric in a color that works. So crossing my fingers I'll be able to get it.

Although hand stitching it to the back might not be finished until the 26th I am really pushing to get this done. I've stayed up late several nights in a row to get that hand quilting done. I'll probably do the same with putting the binding on. Just taking a break for my volunteer work tomorrow and Christmas dinner, but otherwise I'll be sewing Once this quilt is finished, it will be my second official finish ever. I've got lots of quilts in progress and several completed tops since I started six years ago and several I've stopped working on entirely for various reasons. But this one was the second one I ever started and will also be the second one that will be completely finished. So excited!

I'm getting my caboose ready for 2016. I've been pulling out my UFOs and found some from at least 12 or 13 years ago. One was a complete surprise - I'd totally forgotten I'd made it. I'm up to 8, maybe not many by most standards, but a lot for me. if I could complete these next year, I'd be thrilled. Unfortunately, I know there are a few more lurking around, including at least 4 that are just in the block stage, no sashing, no border, no nothing. Oh, dear!

Am definitely looking forward to getting started. Might just try to sneak a finish in this year.

Look forward to seeing many of you next year!

I'm currently stitching the binding to the back (I did have enough fabric, thankfully!) so I'm hoping to finish today, otherwise tomorrow. So excited! It's looking great.

Well ladies, I have not posted any photos this year, can't seem to get them "up" but I have finished a number of UFO's, and not created any more then finished and gifted more quilts. I look forward to 2016 and clearing away more! Moving in January so my quilting time is limited but the move will give me the opportunity to gather all unfinished projects into one place, again. Then tackle a few more while I make progress with the quilts I have planned for family and friends.

I finished a weighted quilt yesterday...I've had the fabric for a couple years. My daughter sewed the squares together for me in October and I got the quilting/filling of squares done this month.
