Oh...the temptation. Good job everyone! Some members of the board have stopped ordering magazines also. So, I'm letting mine run out (last one will be in September). I'm REALLY trying to not renew anything...but be aware that when it comes to magazine subscriptions...the more you resist....the better the offers get. I ALMOST purchased the McCalls renewal because they said "they really missed me" and offered 2015 CD, Easy Quilts 2015 CD and some other freebies. I had that offer sitting on my computer desk for 3 days! This morning.........I took it and shredded it! Whew...........

I have been a good girl. Only bought quilt batting......but my birthday is Thursday and my hubby wants to take me to Joannes and let me pick out fat quarters! O, the horror of it!

NoraB, I stopped the magazine subscriptions because there were SOOOO many duplicates and the novelty of the patterns simply wore off. Now I occasionally treat myself to a magazine but that's about it.
Pyffer3 - happy birthday. Enjoy the gifts and keep that hubby.

Yesterday I had to go into town for some groceries. I stopped at a quilt shop and all I can say is that I'm claiming my birthday exemption!

Does it count if a friend goes out and buys the fabric for you? And then we pay them back? If so, I spent $25.00 For QOV quilt top. Fabric was $6.00 per yd. I'm just not in the mood to buy fabric right now.

happy lab, please get yourself to a dr. right away. let him know your symptoms of not "IN THE MOOD" to buy fabric. He'll send you out to buy at least 1/4 yard of fabric. You'll feel much better then.
I'm trying not to buy, but it seems every project needs me to go buy a LITTLE bit of fabric. It seems I'm lacking in that department just a little bit.

THANK YOU! I have been so good about not buying fabric, just to complete a project but that wasn't even much. My SIL is finally becoming a grandmother, her kids are 34 and 36. The nursery is gray and they are decorating with just white and red. I have tons of grey, have a top I was saving for my daughter, also 34 and no kids and then I remembered!! I have 10 redwork lambs. I have found an Alex Anderson pattern quilt that a lady did but can not find the directions. I have to admit, I will be buying red and white fabric. I have very little in my stash. Have you seen this patter?
