I did not buy any material last week. I went to big city, I was good. I bought only vitamins and lunch. When you live alone out in middle of no where. I see my son Sundays as he works long hours. Hey do I get a pass if I fall off as my doctor told to make quilts? He did as I asked about arm exercises and he said no make my quilts. Yes Jan and Feb I did buy 9 Plain colored sheets in brown and blues one neutral for slashjng and borders for my animal panel/block quits. Then got the 4 yds last eek of clowns I really did not need.

I did not fall off the wagon...I Jumped. Gosh golly it was fun. 5 1/2 yard fabrics and 6 fat quarters buy five get one free. You know I went for all six. Then over to the lqs for help with my pet bom sashing month 5. where I got another 3/4 yards of great fabric. so 7 and 3/4 yard all in one day. I definitely jumped off of the wagon. But it was a perfect day.

Tkhooper, that's the way I do it too. When you go against the rules, own it and stand up PROUD!

I can report coming home without any fabric today. I stayed away from the vendors for the second day of the show. So I am back on the wagon. Thanks for the moral support MadQuilter.

We just got back from a driving vacation to Charleston, SC and near Daytona, FL. I did good, only buying a few fat quarters and fabric for a quilt to remind me of our trip to FL. I think I spent less that $125. Now I HAVE to be good as while we were vacationing in FL we bought a house! That will keep me firmly attached to the wagon. No money for fabric and not much time for sewing as we are packing up and selling our house. SO excited about moving to warm weather year round!

Sophie2 - congratulations on your new house! I'm sure you are so excited! Now, that's a souvenier to remind you of your trip to Florida......a house!
I purchased 1 yard of clearance fabric so I could do borders on 2 quilts. The color I had selected (and cut) didn't really work.....so I decided instead of always thinking about how the color doesn't quite look right.....I took the mini-plunge and purchased this 1 yard. I'm so glad I did.....I've now finished up the 2 tops and they are on the spare bed waiting for me to quilt them. I'll start that in a few weeks.....gotta fold up my sewing table and move it out of the way so I can quilt (so I usually stack up a few before starting).
I'm thinking it doesn't count if we just "need that fabric" to finish up something. Right? hahaha

NoraB, I agree with you, if you don't purchase fabric to finish something up, it becomes a UFO. Thanks for the congrats on the new house. We are super excited. I think the fabric I purchased on our trip will move to the "top of the list" as a remembrance of our trip - if I have time to sew between packing and sorting.

we have to take breaks from the packing or things don't get packed as well as they should. At least that's been my experience. Congrats on house.

Sophie2 congrats on the house! I hope you find at least a little time to relax and quilt during your busy time.
Nora B sometimes a color just isn't right and you're much happier with the end result changing it. Sounds like you shopped your stash first so to me it's all good
