2016 Fabric Moratorium

Thank you. Hubby is working on getting me some more rows to enjoy putting another one together. I have it planned though with mountains and cabins type more so than just fun. I am also hoping to get enough bird rows to make a nice wallhanging out of those. We shall see. Many more months to enjoy.

Happylab, the pattern is in the book Rotary Cutting Revolution: New One-step cutting by Anita Grossman Solomon.
Mine isn't entirely correct. The order of the strips is 2 light, 3 medium, 2 dark. I did mine more scrappy and used what I had. So the values I used were light-medium-dark in relation to each other, not necessarily true values. That's why there are lighter and darker areas in mine.

I was going to stay in my jammies all day and sew but I had to go to the post office. Then I got an email from the LQS about their 4th of July sale (40% off) and the LQS is near my husband's work (who is working evening shift these days). So I got dressed, went to the post office, went to the LQS and bought a boat load of backing fabric. Then I took sandwiches to my honey and we had dinner together. Now to find a spot for my fabric........

i teetered on the edge of the wagon but fortunately or unfortunately they didn't have exactly what I was looking for. But it was close.

My challenge for today is to ignore the LAQ store's 4th of July sale....everything 20% off.......I know I need some fabric to finish up some wall hangings I am quilting....but I'm thinking it is better to actually determine how much fabric I need to finish up (bindings, etc.) BEFORE I go to purchase the fabric......I'm thinking it's better to not overbuy @ 20% off...but just buy enough at full price.........hmmmmmm ...or IS it?!? Oh well....I have a coupon for $25.00 off.....so I will wait until Tuesday and hopefully by that time, I'll know exactly what I need. Today is Saturday Sampler day...so I HAVE to go to the quilt shop........I'll just look.......and touch........
Everyone, have a great 4th of July holiday!
