Tkhooper: Too bad we live so far apart. I would piece the tops and you would quilt them.
Krisb: I understand about not needing more bins of fabric. I laughed today because I was volunteering and I was cutting 8" squares and putting the leftover fabric in a pile to take home and use for scrappy baby quilts. Then another volunteer gave me some she had set aside for me and told me I needed my own spot at the warehouse so people could just put the scraps in a designated spot for whenever I stopped by. Oh, boy! was my thought.

One of my guild friends dropped off a couple of bags at work on Tuesday...Another customer declared my middle name is Scraps...my reputation precedes me...like I really need any more fabric either...

There was a Michigan quilt shop that used to come to the Grand Rapids AQS show. Their fabric sense was very similar to mine. I loved everything they would bring. Fortunately, they are many miles from my house. Unfortunately, we will be going on vacation next week and will be very close. It's my anniversary. Isn't 45 years supposed to be fabric?
Yes, I was a child bride.

I have been really good very surprising. I am quilting my oldest UFO other then batting I will have bought nothing. Starting the quilting tomorrow on another quilt that was made using left over blocks, scrap and stash only. Both will end up being wedding gifts. I did buy some kona Navy only what I needed to do a narrow border and that is about it. I went into several stores and thrift shops that had some great fabric and I just walked away. My husband thought I was broken lol.

Congratulations to the prince and princess of paper. As far as I'm concerned, ANY year can be fabric.
Can't help it when well-meaning friends sabotage the moratorium. 5 bins - that's a nice haul. I have been behaving myself.

retiredteacher09 that sounds good to me, when are you moving? lol. I pieced two blocks this week the "Peace and Plenty," pattern. It took me six hours 2 hours making them, 2 hours unmaking them, and two hours remaking them. Guess what they still aren't all that good. I'm wondering if I am dyslexic. Would that be nice to find out at 59.
Well one way or another I used up some small pieces from the stash.

Thanks for the chuckles. One of those weeks I really need it. Anything from your own designated spot in a warehouse to oops I bought some fabric is just so funny.
Congrats on your anniversary paperprincess and I think anniversaries should count for some fabric too.
I've been behaving myself as well and lets hope I stay that way after my July and August falls.

OKSewGlad: Happy anniversary to you too!
Altairss: you are an inpiration to us all.
Martina: doesn't count if you didn't purchase or solicit it! I have come home to find bags of fabric abandoned on my doorstep.
TKHooper: I had to look that pattern up. Wow, I can see how you would get turned around.

FYI: Judy started her MQ #14 yesterday. This is a great way to use up some of out stash. It's such a great way to join or lurk and use the pattern later. I really enjoy the site.
