happylab how wonderful you can visit Missouri Star and free pass birthday month! (Happy birthday!).
rryder - how unfortunate Craftsy is being so slow. I'm glad you found the handspray else where.

Before I went to my retreat at the ocean this weekend DH told me that he went to the bank and got me $400. My eyes got really big. He said: "I want you to have a good time" .....so I did. Stopped at the Quilting Cupboard in Atascadero and got 5 yards of plain white (was totally out) and a bunch of iron-on interfacing (was totally out of that too). So those count toward the "need" category. Of course the 5 yards of Civil War fabrics don't ----but they were so pretty and they made me soooo happy.....
Today on our way home, we all stopped at the Cotton Ball in Morro Bay. Lovely store with lots of options. I did pick up a Moda jelly roll to go with a project I have in the works, and a F4 pack of patriotic fabric. I call that "supporting the local economy"

Sounds like you had a great time Martina. You wouldn't want to disappoint your generous husband so something had to come home with you

Do backings count? I have 3 completed flimsies, two tops over 80% done, and am actively cutting and sewing 10 more. I bought 15 backs & bindings from Connecting Threads as their 108 wide backings are on sale.

Nope, backings fall under the "necessity" clause. Aren't those sales fantastic?

This quilt is made mostly from stash. Had to buy the black solid, because U didn't have enough of one piece, and black solids don't always match. The quilt is a gratitude gift for the wonderful friend who gave me her entire stash about a month ago. Figured that since she had an entire bin of Asian fabrics must really love Asian fabrics. It is backed with the binding fabric with an inset stripe of some leftover squares from the top.
