Oksewglad: Happy Birthday! My mother worked for a few years at a Ben Franklin store and we gave her a bad time about spending more than she made working. . She probably didn't but it was fun to tease her. Thanks for sharing.

Ah who else remembers Ben Franklin stores?..my local one used to sell flat folds of fabrics back in the 70's and 80's....thus began my fabric addiction

Seven years ago someone opened one here and after several years it closed. Selling fabric on the flat folds There are several in Wyoming - the one (1 1/2 hours away) is combined with a hardware store. Brings back such nice memories.

Christmas quilting reprieve! Because of the way the holidays fall this year, some Christmas celebrations have been pushed out to Jan 14 and Jan 21. Looks like I will get to finish my gifts after all!

We still have a Ben Franklin store although I don't know if they are the same but the one in Monroe Washington as a very nice selection of fabric both flat folds and nice quilting fabrics. I love to go there when I can get down there.

Today is our 40th anniversary. I think that qualifies as a reason to stop by an LQS - however, the fabric I need to get is for an ongoing project.

Martina (and Tinker Pat): I'm pretty sure that like 25 is your silver anniversary, 40 is fabric. If you don't believe me, check with Hallmark.
Happy anniversary!!!!
