OhCanada, those blocks look great and look wonderful as pillows. Beautiful fabric on the back.

What a fun quilt giquilt-- I love the ants on the back!

OhCanada! Those pillows are beautiful, I like the look of the tea dyed fabric.

Tkhooper re: borders-- it's one of those times when I'm not sure the borders would really add anything to the quilt. On the other hand it is a saw toothed border and is kinda cool LOL!

I love the watermelon quilt!! What a cool idea to add the ants, then the ant-fabric-binding to just tie everything all together! Just too, too cute!!

OhCanada, the pillows are AWESOME!! and such a cool idea to make use of some blocks that were simply meant as a learning experience! Now I may have to use that idea for some orphan blocks... and tie them all together with some kind of fabric that coordinates with the rest of my living room.

Giquilt - perfect quilt to add that row of watermelon toting ants to! What a delightful surprise to find on the back of this quilt. I love that floral that you used as backing as well. Fun quilt!

Well, you have declared now so, giquilt, Toot, Toot for a fun finish. What's not to love about this one? Watermelon, classic blocks, great colors. And while I detest ants in real life, this quilt is made the better for them. Congratulations! And welcome to the group.

March. The cover quilt from the Fons and Porter Mag. May/June issue. I added the ants on the back from a row quilt by Jacki ? on Craftsy, which came out last summer. The binding is a red fabric with ants.

OhCanada, beautiful pillows. I like the planned scrappy feel of the fronts and the backs are lovely as well. Congratulations on finishing your shelved projects. Four UFO finishes for you! Toot, toot!

Oh, our April finishes list is growing...this train is still speeding ahead.

These started out as large blocks, I was experimenting with tea-dying muslin for an antique look.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them, so they got shelved (for a few years). I've been wanting to make new covers for the throw cushions, so I added some borders to make the blocks the correct size for the existing pillow forms and made envelope-style covers. The backs are made with a pretty fabric I picked up on my last visit to Singapore earlier this year. I had just enough fabric to do all 4 pillows. Added a bit of lace, and they are pretty enough to use either side.
