2016 UFO Challenge of the Month
#1462
MadQuilter, I truly believed you have earned your name. I assumed you meant "mad" as in "crazy for" but no, this quilt proves otherwise! ROFLOL. This is too much and I believe you have earned the title of Most Unusual Quilt posted in this year's challenge, if not on the entire QM! You have also earned the coveted spot of quilt number 222, my favorite number. Now this doesn't come with any big prize, but take heart, I will forever associate poor, deranged Sunbonnet Sue - and you - with my favorite number. A HUGE TOOT TOOT for you! Thank you for making me laugh.
I finished my deranged Sunbonnet Sue quilt so add one more to the May tally.

UFO completed for May
In June 2012 I found this great Witch Hat twister pattern at the MN Quilt show. I got the whole thing pieced before Halloween and then it went into the “to be quilted pile” and lived there until I purchased my Handi Quilter in December of 2013 and was one of the first items I quilted. Figured it would be a good practice piece. Once again the quilt sat because I could not find a binding fabric to go with the border I choose. When doing the Row-by-Row in August of 2015 I found the perfect piece for binding the quilt. Finally, nine months later, this piece will be ready for Halloween 2016!
