Anoka Quilter your good luck wishes worked. The christmas heart table runner is finished. It is a much simpler fix than I had intended but the top fabric was very wavy. But it is still much better that the dollar store runner I used this year. Picture in about 1 1/2 weeks.

My "UFO" are simply those that I don't really want to work on. Normally I will go from Idea to Floppy in about two weeks. I probably completed 12-15 quilts last year, (having my own long arm and a DH that likes to use it helps!).

So when I've got something that has been around for several months, it is one that I've not been all that motivated to get back to.

For me, it's almost depressing to get things organized and out where I can see everything. Sometimes the joy of being able to post a finish is the main motivation to get working on it.

I've not been a very organized person, but I'm making a point to get there (been posting about that on the Mission Organization subforum).

Wow, so many great finished already. Congratulations to all:
Melanie Rudy, I really like the Vintage Vacation, what a great pattern and a truly beautiful quilt.
Janice McC, yeah, you did it. Your 1st UFO finished
Qltr Sue, very nice Christmas wall hanging. Doesn't it feel good to have it done so you know you can use it for next year.
Tkhooper, what a great quilt. I am sure the person who receives it will enjoy it. Also congratulations on your 2nd finish. Can't wait to see pictures.
Vicki M, what a great way to use scraps. I really like your boys strip quilt and I am sure that some boy out there will too.
    Allspots,very nice basket quilt.

I consider a quilt to be a UFO when it hasn't been worked on in over a year. I know for me making a quilt does take time as I work FT and have a very active social life so depending upon the size of the quilt it may take me a year to get it done. However, it becomes that UFO when it has set untouched for at least a year.

Speaking of those projects that have gone untouched for at least a year. I dug out the quilt I am making for our king size bed this weekend and made some serious headway. I also got the binding put on my Christmas quilt so that is not upstairs so I was sew down the binding as I watch TV and then I will have another completed UFO that I will be able to share.

Being -8 definitely kept me indoors this weekend and in my sewing room. I couldn't even bring myself to run into town to pick up something I needed from the store, it was just too cold out. Figured it could wait till Monday and I could run the errand on my way home from work.

Yipee, I finished 2 quilts this weekend. Ok, if I must be honest, they only needed binding and I did that by machine. But, they're done!! The first is a disappearing hour glass from a retreat last April, and the second is a pattern called "Chain Reaction". Oh my goodness, the Y-seams in that one! Fun to do, but a busy pattern and not totally my style. I might try it again in a fabric palette that calms it down some.

To tie into another thread on here - these have been languishing in my sewing room for about 4-5 months waiting for binding. I consider them (and anything else) a UFO when I interrupt work on them (at whatever stage) to go on to something more fun and interesting, or with a closer deadline. So, in some cases, I might consider something a UFO after only a couple of months. But I have plenty that surpass the 1-year mark, too
