Congrats on your UFO finish, Retiredteacher09! Toot, toot for a fun, scrappy finish! I'm sure whoever the lucky person is who receives this will be very happy.

And this is our 6th finish in the Sept mini-challenge. Way to go, quilters!

I had cut a variety of 2.5" strips and then subcut them into random 2 to 10" strips. It was supposed to be another Scrappy Fence Rail quilt top with lots of pinks, purples, flowers, etc. I had just finished a top in this pattern a few weeks ago with darker colors and I wasn't ready to make another one so I decided to repurpose the fabric. I had a picture of a quilt with strips and orphan blocks so I made a top based on that picture. I enlarged the orphan blocks to 16.5" so 8 strips of 2.5" would fit the sides.

I cut the pieces several years ago. It was a time when I started several quilts and didn't finish them. Now I am paying the price of 'catch-up."

The quilt top was donated to my church group this morning and they will finish and donate it.

Way to go everyone on the lovely finishes. I so love this site for seeing all of the finishes.

If all goes well I hope to finish at least 1 UFO this month, if not maybe 2. I have to buy fabric for the backing for the second project. Back to housework and sewing.

Gorgeous quilt kwiltkrazy. Sorry for your loss dear. I lost my sister three years ago. Sending out a gentle hug to you. The dolphins are spectacular.
