Silliness, thanks for posting the finished quilts. The colors are lovely and that you used up orphan blocks is terrific..

Both quilts have orphan blocks from quilts I made last year. I made another large star quilt last year and this is the sister blocks that were made last year. However, I had not sewn them together. I wasn't sure if I was going to use the same design or cut them down into something else. In the end, I decided to just make another large star with them. What is different this year is I put the star on the back and added a different front. The Care Bears blocks were leftover from another Care Bear quilt. I added some additional blocks in other fabrics. Sorry they are sideways. I haven't figured out how to turn them.

silliness, your finishes are great...I especially like the big star ones...they take average pretty squares to a new level.

Janice, count a finish for me as I will have the final stitches put in as I watch my Sunday night shows. The HST are from a guild swap several years ago. Setting blocks, borders, backing, and binding all from stash. I panicked when sewing the last border. I figured I had just enough fabric and proceeded to sew it on. I used diagonal seams when joining the lengths and it took more than I needed, and not enough fabric to finish. Why not the broken dishes cornerstones? This was a practice FMQ experience sewn on my DSM...

I have those HST as well. Yeah, need to get them done. Love how you did your setting oksewglad.

Yes Janice, the leaf quilt was a ufo that finally got completed. I just added that chicken onto the bottom to make the rows come out even.

I will have another one here shortly.
