Thank you all for the luck. I'm rounding heart 3 with the vine and have 5 to go. The stitches are not perfectly even but there isn't anything i have to pull out yet so I'm happy. How do you keep your shoulders from rising up around your ears when you are fmq'ing?

Love your UFO Teriann. It is my colors.
Thank you all for the compliments on the bargello. I was working on the binding last night and still am in awe of it.
I pulled out an afghan that I started in, get this, 1982. Yep that long ago. I worked on it for about two hours and realized that my rows were getting smaller. Ripped out and doing again. Can tell it has been awhile since I crocheted. It is a UFO for sure so going to get it done. It is halfway there.

It sounds as though you're FMQ'ing on a domestic machine...so, if I'm correct, it sounds like you're also trying to get really close to your machine so you can SEE what you're stitching. If that's the case, you may want to get a pair of those magnifying glasses that are often advertised in the quilting magazines. I found that was what caused me to "have my shoulders around my ears" when I quilted on my DSM. It's not as much of a problem on my longarm, but hubby says I get this really intense, focused LOOK on my face when I'm running the longarm. He says I almost look like I'm really mad. (But he knows I'm not! )

I will look for those glasses. The optometrist just sent me a coupon so it is time to get the old eyes checked.

#1 -I finished this - had a pile of leftover browns from another quilt and just put this together. Used anything I could find in my stash to complete the back!

#2 - got my Boomerang 15 finally quilted and bound. Hard to take a good picture of stripes - but just love what everyone had done with the fabric and how fun it turned out.
#3 - got this one quilted and bound and done! very scrappy and fun.
