I think avoiding the temptation of a 40% off sale is pretty good! For me even thinking about my purchases a little more or shopping stash first for projects have helped. I do fall though and pick myself up again.
Martina how sweet of him to want to see you happy!
oksewglad that is gorgeous. Your design is wonderful and I agree the beige/tan really sets it off.

LOVE your 9-patch stash buster, OKSewGlad!! It is so much prettier than the EQ version!!
OK, Moratorium-Stashbusting friends... I need some help/suggestions...
I was doing some MORE organizing and found a box from Craftsy that I forgot I had. It's at least 2 years old, because it has my old mailing address on it. It has 14 1-yard pieces of fabric, all Asian theme prints. I had at some point also added another Asian print (2 yds) with those, I guess trying to keep similar fabrics together. The fabrics are beautiful, and a nice mix of different prints and different colors.
So... what do I DO with them?!?
I would really like some suggestions from this talented group!!
I'm also proud again... another one of those pesky, awesome 50% and 60% off fabric sale emails landed in my inbox. I resisted (went and looked at the shoeboxes, and kits and totes) buying anything. I drooled over the amazing jellyroll prices, and layer cake prices then (again) looked where I have two jellyrolls and two layer cakes (all the same fabric line) sitting together in a box. Then deleted the email.
Yaayyy me!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much, OKSewglad!! I posted the pic of my fabrics on the main page, as another thread. That looks to be about 60" square - am I right?
And if I did this type of pattern, not only would it use up a lot of my Asian fabrics, but it would put a major dent in my bolt of black solid as well.
Hmmm, wonder how many of these I could make? Wonder if they would sell?
Thanks again!!

I really like it too, Leta. It would showcase any large design fabric...just looked at your fabrics...the piece at the top looks like it could offer more than one design cut. Don't forget about trying a stack and whack especially with those large mum prints in the center...what fun to play with these pretties!

Oksewglad- I love that quilt! Great way to showcase those big print and your quilting is the perfect counterpoint.
Leta- good job resisting the sale. Finding that nice box of lovely prints sounds like the perfect reward for successfully the latest temptation.

OK, that quilt is fabulous!!!
Hmm, that link to the PDF had wonderful patterns, but I didn't see yours. I think I can figure it out from the photo, however.

OK - beautiful quilts! My son-in-law would live the Oriental. Visiting Japan is on his bucket list. The 9 patch would drive me flippin' crazy with all those little squares.

Correction...the oriental quilt is not mine, but an inspiration for Leta's chunk o' fabrics! But I'll take all the complements for finding it!
