I agree with you. Great quilt to us up 2 1/2 inch pieces.

Thanks for the compliments. The pattern is called Now and Later and it came in a quilting magazine advertisement.

The white are 2.5" squares and the colorful strips were cut 2.5" by 4.5".

I thought I was never going to get it assembled! At least I finished it before it went in the UFO pile.Lol!

Retiredteacher09, thank you for the info. I can see this as a great quilt to make as a Leaders and Enders with scraps.

Sophie2: It was a great leader/ender project when I was attaching the squares to the rectangles. . Then when I was assembling it, I sewed oddball 4" squares together as leader/Enders. Win/win!

My son and DIL are expecting twin boys in May...I have plenty of fabric to make a gazillion quilts, but saw this cute fabric at work and had to have it as well as 2 others in the collection and 4 others to put it together....11 yards later....enough for backing and binding for 2 similar, but not identical. Woe is me....

OK, the fabric is adorable. Can't wait to see the 2 quilts.

OK, when it's your own grandchild -- and twins! how special! :-) congratulations! -- then it seems to me like something fresh and new and modern would be a a great choice to give.

...I don't think this thread is the correct one for me. lol I read the comments and always seem to think that buying something is fine.
