I plan to do 2 QALs and thinking now to use my stash and give as Christmas gifts. I'll wait and see. Did not buy any fabric this month. I'm still working on my previous started projects. Will post pics when tops or projects are completed.
Madquilter, I love your thoughts on going off the wagon.

Sounds like a plan to me, sweetwaterquilter. But instead of a BAM, it might be a HOHOHO.

Off the wagon for a day... Need, need and want! Two backings, two jelly rolls (white) and the splurge of sunflower fabric for me. http://www.henryglassfabrics.com/php...&file=6&pass=1
Well back to the safety of the wagon!

Great to be back to getting something done with all this fabric I have been accumulating all these years.. making a big dent in holiday fabrics, had way too many. I had a Joanna gift card and got great deal on batting, 50 percent off plus a 20 person off total purchase. Should be enough to finish most of my projects.

I use a lot of scraps to make quilt tops for the local church group. Many of the scraps i use are donated to me from the other members of the group. I try to make at least 2 twin size and one baby/lap top per month. I have one top done for this month based on Four Square Float pattern in MCCall's Quick Quilt magazine of AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2017
and have another half done from Brick-a-Brack pattern in April/May 2014 issue of same magazine. Both quilt tops are being made from scraps that the other members donated to me within the past few months. And I have barely made a dent in my scrap stash.

Roseirish48: My scrappy stash grows like yours! I get scraps smaller than 5" from my church group plus any donated orphan blocks and scraps less than 8" from another place I volunteer. I just don't get as many tops done as you do so the stash is growing! Lol!

That is quite a lot of charity work, irishrose. You make more quilts in a month than I make in a year.
I used to keep all of my scraps in a tall bin and when it got to overflowing I decided to make a scrap top. It used quite a lot of fabric (darks and lights) and I expected that bin to be at least half empty once done. Oh heck no! I swear that bin was as full if not fuller after I finished the top. My DH claims that it is my own fault because I turn the light off in the sewing room at night. He says all those scraps get up to no good and make baby scraps. lol He might have a point.

Well, with my falling off the wagon in June, plus finishing 4 quilts and half-way through 2 others, I'm still down a total of 11 yards. That's a total of 66 yards used so far this year. I re-organized some of my fabric a week ago and I can actually see a bit of difference. Two shelves have a bit of room on them! Yippee!
