I went to a newly opened LQS on Saturday. This store has change over hands 3x's in the last few years. This time the owners are going to bring back fabric the local residences want. Most customers preference is for Batiks, and fabric lines like that and traditional colors like Kansas troubles. They have lots of variety for most anything a quilter could want. I only bought 2 items, backing for a UFO tee shirt quilt and a row by row kit from there. I also dropped off 3 quilts to get quilted, all UFOs. I used 3 yards wide backing fabric, 7 yards fabric from my stash. So I'm doing better. Yea for me.

Anngelanne, So very proud of you for buying only 2 yards of fabric this year. I wish I could say the same for me.

Thanks Blue Bell. Have to say I am proud of me too. I am actually finding it easier as I go along.....most of the time anyway.

Wow 2 yards that is definitely inspiring. And I'll need it as I appear to have a fabric fetish.
Martina would love to see your quilt when through. Happy that you're pleased. Moments like that just makes a day (or week).

As I looked at my stash shelves, I was getting all happy. Until a friend wanted to us the LA. Then the table needed to be cleaned. With all the fabric put away, the shelves are stuffed again. Reality check. Back to discipline.
Two more backs got pieced.

Currently, I'm trying to get more UFO's finished. Have many fronts pieced. So more backs got pieced. Using some fabric. Also have top layed out using what I'd purchased and already had. Went into LQS to turn in machine for service and didn't buy anything. I'll take 1 day at a time.

I made a table runner from fabrics recently purchased. One piece I just had a couple of narrow strips left over...does this count as it didn't go into stash!!!

I bought some clearance fabric at $3 a yard for baby quilt backings. I got 4.38 yards of fabric. I am claiming the Minnesota Shop Hop exemption. Lol!
I really wanted to get the dollar product that shop offered but I needed to buy $10 worth of something. The Best Press spray was given to my great niece so there was a motive for my fall off the wagon. .
