Okay, so after a lot of self control and not so much self at times I did a purchase and took my birthday exception. Two yards of each, so that makes around 13 yards this year. Now that I put it that way, hummmmmmmmm seems like a lot. I almost ran out of the birthday month, but as you see I managed to fit it in.

Anngleane, I love your fabric selection. I have 4 pieces of your yellow design, but in different colors.
Rryder, I'm so glad you put in the 2nd comment, that we can start new projects to have future UFO's, (comment #858). Otherwise, I don't think I would be able to start any new projects ever. LOL I have lots of UFO's. I have one that is over 30 years old. I need to finish that one. Next year project list.

I went to my guild meeting yesterday. They were selling fabric 1/2 price at our guild meeting. So I bought f-q batik for 75 cents each. I bought what they had 6 pieces. I also bought a 5" package for $2.50 (I should have bought more. I plan to make a charity quilt from the 5" fabric to donate to the guild. Next few weeks projects.
Happy sewing everyone.

Since we like pics. Here's a pic of my above mentioned fabric purchases, less than $11.00. Right bottom is the 5"charms squares, bottom rights the 5 out of 6 f-q batiks, and the back half is free fabric that was donated to the guild which I will make charity quilt tops from. Oh Wow! Happylab, that's quite a haul!
And, Yes, I'm a firm believer in beginning new projects so that I can have future UFO's LOL!
Oh, and I also just bought 1 yard of 108" wide backing fabric at MSQ--but it was only because I needed that fabric for a quilt (future UFO) that I've just started. I was going to use only stash and things were going nicely when I realized that I didn't have enough of that particular fabric. Fortunately MSQ still had some in stock as it seems to be out of stock everywhere else I looked. I'm pleased to say that nothing else jumped into my cart though I did spend lots of extra time looking at all kinds of neat thread and fabric....

Yesterday, I was quilting some UFO's and discovered the stitch in the ditch was too obvious on solid fabric. The thread needed to match better. So I stopped on the way home and bought thread....was that $$$$$ or what. The large spools last f o r e v e r, but still. Connecting Threads didn't have the colors needed. I've been doing better, for me, then this made me feel defeated..... Need opinions.
