I had that Christmas gift card to an LQS burning a hole in my wallet. My husband wanted to go to a store near there, so we stopped. I had planned to purchase a book or tool, BUT, I've been looking for some gradated batik fabric for a while-. I had an opportunity to purchase some last summer in lots of colors at half off, but didn't have a project in mind so I passed. Of course, the perfect project popped up a couple months later. I went back, but they were sold out. Anyway, I found some yesterday. So, I'm a happy camper. It's for a specific project, so I don't feel guilty at all (plus, it's still my birthday month!).

Well, a quarter of the year will be over tomorrow. How is everyone doing? Been pretty quiet lately, I'll take that as a good sign.
Although it's sort of cheating because I'm not actually using it, I gathered about 25 yards of stash to donate to a group who makes charity quilts. You can't even tell I removed anything from my stash. Sigh.

I have to say that I am feeling pretty good about my progress this year. Not much has been added and some has come out with much more on the horizon.

I added about 3.5 yards from the remnant bin at my LQS, but have used more than that from stash this year, so I'm counting the first quarter a success

I like the way you think Rob. I haven't added. Have been making baby quilts and table runners all from stash, so feel pretty good. A lady gave me 4 garbage bags full of material from her mother that had passed away. Didn't know the lady, but she knew thru a mutual friend that I quilt. Haven't had a chance to go thru it yet, hope to this weekend. I was so proud of me yesterday. I went to Joann's coupons in hand because I needed some batting. Got that and some buttons. I did wander around the material with my 50% burning my hand and managed to walk out with just the buttons and batting. So it was definitely a good day for me.

Angel, I drove past JoAnn's yesterday. I wondered what that burning smell was

I have purchased only one item, and that was when traveling. It was specific to the trip, so I feel like I am still on track.
Good job everyone!!

Princess, you are too funny. It was for sure my brain on overtime with thinking if I could do it and should I or shouldn't I. And the stronger smell was burning rubber as I pealed away from the place before I changed my mind.

Doing very well ... but then again, I've sort of stopped quilting for a while. Have to concentrate on my veil business. *sigh* Almost as much lace in this house as quilting fabric.
