I'll check that out Maryjane, thank you!
I've been quilting up a storm to get all those UFO's out of the closet and I'm making progress. These will be donated tomorrow for the low income cancer patients through the Powell Hospital. I don't know how long this has been in the closet, I must have been practicing pinwheels This one was a batik block swap maybe3 years ago? This one was a black/ white with a strip of red swap that was ages agoand this one I think was a mystery on the internetHave 2 more but the binding isn't done yet and only 6 hanging in the closet. Those will have to wait until next April when we come back to Wyoming for the summer. Feels good having them done and knowing they will be used.

jaba...you are really on a roll! Congrats on the finishes.
My fave is the black/white/red one....always drawn to r/w/b quilts.
Great charity choice too. They will ease the way for some lucky recipients.

Jaba, beautiful quilts all but I love the batik. Congratulations on your four UFO finishes. It's wonderful that you are sharing your work with folks at a rough time in their lives. Toot Toot!

Wow Jaba! Four finishes! You are on a roll! Good job. I like them all, but that red and black calls to me.

Thanks quilters, the hospital representative picked 8 quilts up yesterday. I'll let the house sitter know if she asks for more to give them to her. I'm really happy they are being put to a good use. I have thought back and wondered if it helped to have something tangible to hang on to and if I am very honest, I think it did. Friends, family etc. are great but at least for me sometimes I just wanted to be very quiet and by myself.....and at those times I think most always I grabbed a quilt and just hung on.

I think you are so right about this. I often hear something to this effect from the people who have received comfort quilts.

How lucky to find such a good home for your lovely quilts, jaba! The recipients are truly blessed.

Here is a September finish to add to the mix! Sorry I have been quite AWOL on finishes this year, but I'm hoping to make some progress this week on some others because I'm on staycation from work this week. These blocks were kits and I chose the sashing/border fabric. It's wallhanging size and headed to my besties house.
