2017 UFO Challenge of the Month

A2P, nice autumn finish! Fun, too. Congratulations and Toot, Toot.
Here's a finish for me - a dresser topper or table runner for autumn. It measures 23 x 36 inches. It hasn't been sitting around too long, only about 6 months or so, but it's been long enough! I had planned to finish it early September but things happened and it languished... (So much nicer than saying I procrastinated too long LOL ) The back is a solid gold cotton, nothing special, but I quilted it using variegated thread. Charlie Brown is one of my favorite cartoon characters. The rest of the fabric, including the backing, was from my stash.

Awesome finishes everyone! Sadly I am not adding anything to the count but wanted to cheer you all on. I'm working on a fun, and complicated (for me) 4PP for a special lady. Happily it is NOT a comfort quilt, but will just be a gift of love. She is having some personal struggles and I wanted to do something special for her.
By the way, I'm pretty sure most fabric moratoriums make exceptions for backing fabrics.
Speaking of backings, I use fleece for mine, and recently a certain fabric store had their anti-pill fleece on sale for 70% off. This same store marks their remnants 50% off. By carefully selecting short bolts, and judicious purchasing, I bought
backing for 12 quilts. I spent $62, but the best part is where it shows the savings on my receipt. I saved a total of $242.34!! Call me a happy quilter!

The finishes just keep showing up and so fun to see. All2pieces (#259), your table runner is great and will be all ready for next autumn; Wildyard, (post 264)what a great deal on fleece backing you got. I, too am liking fleece more and more for backings to my quilts. Carolinepaj (#265), I love your children's wall hanging and like what you did on the back, too.

Great finishes. I am diligently working on the king size irish chain that I started some two + years ago that's sat and sat. I think I need about 6 more blocks I decided to make it larger and I can sew the rows together. So hard going back to something that really showed my less then stellar skills as I very much in the learning stage both sewing and quilting lol
