Those new additions are so bright and cheerful and so .....finished.

My latest project took a step backwards yesterday. Tried some Ruler work and it looked REALLY BAD. So I spent some time picking out quilting stitches. Hope to get moving forward again tonight.

I went to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt fest on Sunday and saw Quilter Momma's dress in real life--it's even more gorgeous than in the pics we saw here. Speaking of which- QM- I sent you a pm.

Sheri- Nice finish, 22 grandma quilts is impressive!

Belfry Bat- I like the star, good job on the quilting.

Martina- I've had days like that too. Have you been able to get back to it?

I've spent a good part of today trying to salvage a UFO. It will probably be my March finish, unless I get really inspired tonight and tomorrow

Looks like I'm not going to get a UFO done this month. So I'll try for 2 next month.

Congratulation to everyone that got theirs done.

Congratulations on finishing your UFO! It's often hard to do when it isn't exactly the finished product you originally intended so you get bonus points for completing it anyway along with a big Toot, Toot!

And -- TADA! I have another finish. I found this pattern in a magazine several years ago. It was supposed to be made from vintage sheets and was really soft looking. A couple of years ago I decided to make it from some Marshall's Dry Goods scroll fabric I had. I didn't like the effect since it was so bright. I took it out at the first of month, put a narrow border around it and finished it. It went to a new refugee family from the Congo. I understand they were delighted with the bright colours. It measured 75" square -- the largest I've made and actually quilted myself.

SheriR, congratulations on nearing your Grandma quilt goal! That's so pretty with the bright aqua.

Belfrybat, that doesn't look all that bright to me -- it's beautiful! And how nice to know it is appreciated.

QuilterMomma, congratulations on your second place finish with the amazing dress!

I have a February finish!! Woohoo! I made these 4 Patch Posy blocks but was not quite happy with how they came out, so they sat around for quite a while. Recently I was inspired to use them as part of a scrappy quilt I am calling Scrappy Happy Heart. I am gifting it to my daughter-in-law who is going thru some stressful times at her work lately... a comfort quilt in a different and special way!

Love the scrap quilt, Linda!! A great use of scraps, and a wonderful way to help your daughter-in-law!

And, Belfrybat, that is a great star quilt! It doesn't look that bright from the picture. Glad you found it a happy home.
