Battle Axe, I think that the new longarm won't count as a "falling off the wagon" issue. It's not fabric. And your new fabric can be forgiven with a bunch of sit-ups! Enjoy!!

I planned a fall off this train, then the freezer section of my fridge decided to stop freezing. I’ve been cooking meats & taking them to daughter’s freezer. Plus I tried to get a technician for my fridge but there are none in my area for Samsung. Not sure if they have to be flown in, but this isn’t the only issue I’ve had with this fridge, so I just went to Home Depot & ordered a new one. Not as fancy as the broken one in the hopes that there’s less to go wrong with it. HD had a big appliance sale during the long holiday weekend so all things are on backorder. Meaning I have to put up with my current one until Nov 13. Bah! No ice cream for 3.5 weeks! Needless to say, I don’t have $$ for fabric now so I guess I’ll continue as a passenger. Plus I’m grouchy & hoping there’s some ice cream in the dining car.

We've had financial suprises the last 3 yrs. NO FUN! Sure puts a crimp in my style. And Jan comes the $3000 deductable on health insurance. So it's lay low and hope to sell some art.
Stash is going to get used during these expenses.

Conchalea and Petthefabric, I am so sorry y'all are going thru these bad patches! I just survived one of them myself this month. Emergency dental problem that ending up costing a very big bundle! (It ended up costing more than 2 new refrigerators! I've bought new cars for less in past years.) I spent the past two weeks going thru lots of figuring and financing hoops to get it paid. Yikes!!

Susan-I feel your dental pain! I’ve had lots of that myself in the past few years. My fridge woes wouldn’t have been so bad if I hadn’t just had to buy a new car after mine was totaled in my Sept 4 wreck.
Teen-thanks for the sympathy. Sometimes it’s nice to whine about things.
I personally am ready for 2019: my son-in-law was hit on his motorcycle in Jan & had to have a hip replaced; my 43 year-old daughter had a stroke in April; my oldest gs had a car wreck in July; my car wreck in Sept; & my younger daughter developed cellulitis in a leg wound. Enough, already!

Just had oral surgery myself last week..ugh! I think I have one tooth in my head that is normal and is still mine. Lol.. I have a lifetime of dental issues and surprised I don't have full dentures at this point. I could buy an island with the amount of money I've spent.
Conchalea....goodness...when it rains it pours. I have family struggling with illness, too, right now. The scary kind of stuff and I'm 3,000 miles away, trying to sell my home and move, and I feel helpless. So, I totally get it. Personally, I'm exhausted from the stress but persevering..... You will too cuz quilter's and bikers are made of tough stuff. So stand strong, girl!
on another note....Tula Pink daily deal at MSQS today. I deleted email. Seriously tough to do...

Conchalea, you really have had so many bad things happen to you and your family lately... The refrigerator is the least of it all. You just have to think that if money solves the problem, it isn't too much of a problem at all, but all those health issues are the real problems. My prayers are going out for you and your family. Next year has to be better!!
You are right! Dental stuff is no fun! I spent 3+ hours in the dentist's chair with 2 sets of hands in my mouth!! UGH!
Teen, I guess somebody has to pay to help dentists be able to sent their kids to college... or maybe they bought that island!

Conchalea and Petthefabric, I hope you both find better healing vipers for your family members and yourself. Quilting really does help smooths the negative vibes. At least it does for me.
I found another quilt pattern qal bow which started today. I went through some of my stash and all but the background fabric came from my stash. I will also use my stash for another mystery project. I’m excited about starting these projects from my stash. When tops are done I will post pics.
