I finished my 3 Christmas pillows. They were mostly done. Just needed a bit more quilting. Everything was cut and ready to assemble. I'm at the end of the easy finishes.

Good job, Rhonda. I don't have a project started yet so I am in between projects. Trying to decide what to do for Christmas for family. I have a kit coming and will start that when received this week, hopefully. Only my second kit ever so we'll see how it goes.

Thank you for the comments, didn't find the exact but found something that worked.
Now to sandwich and some quick quilting.

Dedemac, what is the name of the blocks in the chemo quilt? They look 3 D. Awesome looking!

That is a good question, I think I started with the 8 pointed star block and a bordered secondary block, then things kind of morphed. I have a program called Glass Eye 2000 that I use for designing stained glass and it works great for designing quilts. I start with the two blocks and repeat them and move seams until I like the look. I think this one went thru about 8 changes until I was happy with it. Terese only asked for purple and gray the rest was up to me. I'm a little disappointed in a few of my fabric placements but overall its nice (some of the opposites don't contrast as much as I thought they would) .

Here is a early version with temp color placements.

I like my quilts to be unique, and to force me to learn something.

Well you came up with a good design. Love the way it looks. I'm certain it will be loved too.

Happy Halloween everyone,

I can tell you now no other finishes for me this month. Sewing the binding on Therese's quilt today since I had to finish the quilting on my Singer 127! Was so frustrated with the Monkey Wards machine, the motor need to be refurbish and I wanted to get this done. So looked around at what was in cabinets and remembered that the new one we received, as a trade with a woodworking project was functional. ( still cleaning and making it look nice ) So out it came, I was surprised at how much a shuttle bobbin will hold. I didn't have to change bobbins as much as I thought I would, and it was a little slower that what I'm use to but it was nice and steady. Very easy to get into the grove of quilting on it. So when I give it to her next week I can tell her it was quilted with a machine that was made in 1919 I will take another picture when it's done.

Finished the Allietare top. Now off to the long armer. Came out 91 x 105. This is my color rendition. Based on what was in my stash and my preferences.Only 3 years in the making.
