You cant see the hand quilting....It is beige and in the ditch. The black stitch is an embroidery decorative stitch. The in the ditch makes it "puffy" and it attaches it to the backing.

kristakz, your quilt truly looks 3 dimensional. And the purple is stunning. Nice job, I just love it.

kristakz Your quilt is so beautiful! This has probably been asked before but just have to know. Is your quilt difficult to made? Also where is the pattern located?

Thanks! It's not that difficult technically, since it's all rectangles and half-square triangles. But it's a whole-cloth design, so a bit challenging to keep all the bits straight. It's my own design, and I'm just about done writing the pattern, but it's not ready yet.

Thank you all for the great comments. Delivered it yesterday and she loved it.

Great sampler, when was the BOM? I have followed a few but they don't look familiar.

Leta, Great quilt, there is motion while standing still. How are you quilting it? Looking forward to a finished picture!

Dug out a UFO from the 2009 Carolina Shop Hop. These blocks would have normally joined with different blocks from different shops... but in 2010, I happened to be "hanging out" with one shop owner as she prepped for the 2010 Shop Hop, and I volunteered to "clean out" the baggies that had the "block kits" from 2009... which "left overs" she then gave to me.
So here I had all these "block kits"... that I quickly grew to NOT be happy with... which is why this is a UFO... but I find myself very unable to throw away fabric/blocks/orphans.

Then, inspiration struck!! These are PERFECT for the "Dotty for MQX Challenge".
So, this will be finished by Sunday, at which time I will take pics for submission to MQX.
I think I'm going to name this "I Spotted a UFO - Oh My Eyes!!"
First pic is on the design wall, second (obviously) is on the frame. I'm not doing anything major for the quilting, as it won't show up very well anyway.

Krista, so close, enjoy the retreat get recharged and ready to bind.

Not working tomorrow so I think I will work on a WIP for a while. Need to do some time on DH'S GFG. Then next UFO will be the table runner. And will join in the VQW this weekend.

    Thumbs up Ok I'm in!

After looking through the pages at all the jobs started, finished, almost finished, etc, I'm ready to jump on board. It was on my mind to take out, sort and decide on UFO's this year. I have 3 jobs to finish first (customer's always come first) but then, as soon as those are done it is time to get cracking. I first have to count up how many I have.... I remember the first time I heard the term UFO and thought, "Oh, I should be so lucky to ever even have one". yeah well, I would safely say I have "more than one". LOL!!
