Conchalea.....beautiful and special. Your mother's legacy is living on with your use of her beautiful work and stash. So cool.

quiltermomma.....I am so focused on getting this done. Thank you for your encouragement!

Rob...OMG!!! I am so excited for you! I'm probably going to get one of these when I move instead of standing long-arm. We'll see. You'll be knocking out the UFO's with this baby. Please share your journey with me as you learn.

The flu has run its course at my LA house. Dropping off 2 quilts to her tomorrow that have been ready for a month!!! May Hoo!

Thank you all for the compliments on my mom’s quilt, as I think of it. I appreciate each of them. I believe she would be pleased with it.
Rryder, I look forward to seeing your new-to-you machine. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one. Be sure to share photos & all you’re able to do with it.

Tonight got the remaining blocks of a UFO project cut, and can now sew them at my leisure...as when I go to my Q Buddy's for a Sew Day...Only 1 full day before the LA gets put in.

Oh, I so love my LA and glad I have it. They do take time to learn, but so worth the effort. So much information on YouTube in how to use them and lots of inspiration on how to quilt things. I am with the others, we are so thrilled for you. It is nice to have mine inside the house instead of in the garage. I am in process of cleaning up my fabric and storing it better so we can park a car in the garage again.
I finished up a UFO flimsy this morning. I worked on it during my lunch hour at the office, I get to bring in my old Singer sewing machine to work on things. Slowly but surely, I put the borders on and it is ready. I even got my binding set to go, doing the faux flange binding technique with the left over strips that were cut. Hope to have another show and tell this week. Now onto a couple of those applique projects that I have to get done. I love applique, get all excited, get everything cut and then get stuck on the vines. I am going to find a good way to do those one of these days.

Thanks for all the encouragement...I think the room is ready except for MrOK and #1DS to take the church pew out..and yes, the room the pew is moving to is ready as well...LOL sometimes life is a domino effect! I'm so lucky to have the seller come and set it up for me and give me a few lessons...now have to find some fabric and batting to do our practice runs....then it's onto some flimsies! I work on Friday...boss expects me to show up, and she cautioned me not to stay up all night!

I have been looking a few youtubes...also have MQ on my domestic machine, but so looking forward to not manhandling a large quilt.

OK, I look forward to progress reports with your LA. I think I’d like to have one but can’t justify the expense. I have my eye on a new (at least to me) motorcycle, so a LA isn’t on my horizon. Truthfully, the motorcycle probably isn’t either!

Watch a few of Angela Walters longarm videos. That will get you going with the mojo on the LA. She simplifies it so you can do some nice edge to edge and learn how to get across evenly.

The LA is set up and my first sample done. Last night I made up a small quilt (30x36) from some kitchen themed fabrics. I had so much fun sewing this morning! To me it is so much easier than on my sewing machine...my stitches are more even...I do have a stitch regulator.

I'm going to load a BH scrap quilt this afternoon and start a simple meander on it...Oh happy day! Maybe I will get a big UFO done this month!

oksewglad- That's fantastic, so glad you're enjoying your new toy. It sounds like you are already doing well with it!

I got the Sweet Sixteen all set up, and returned some order to the studio, then spent the last couple of hours playing around with it. So far, so good. Did a little micro quilting on a new collaborative project! So nice having all this space.
