This one was almost 120" long.. I wacked off 24" and divided that in half and made two matching pillow cases..

Typical Around-The-Worlds with repeating prints...

Scrappy Around-The-Worlds for my cousin's daughters (I have never met them ).

One Diagonal with a "mis-count" that I did not find until the last row and I refused to take out and redo. It ended up with this in the final corner...

Even with the "Ooops" factor, I got 7 done for August !
The LA was surprised to see me waltz in with all of these.

Motor...outstanding August finishes. I love all of them. I think you paid your LA's mortgage payment last month. Lol!!
great job!
The backings are ready for my 2 tops but my batting is in the storage unit. Ugh! I thought it was in our workshop but..nope... I either dig it out of storage or buy some. Not sure yet.. I hate to buy when I have it in stash.

Ok, so I did some "purging" in my sewing room so I could get in there. Shocking. I finished the binding on a quilt I had lingering since March for DGS. Looked at my list of what's next and dug out my Judy Neimeyer quilt Vintage Rose. It's gorgeous. Have the first 2 sets of units done. Took out 3 and 4 to work on. It's progress.

Good job, sewingitalltogether! Winter is coming and your GS will appreciate that finished quilt pretty soon...and room in the sewing room. Every step is a step toward completion!
Look at all those finishes, Motorcyclemad. Congratulations on a job well done.
Last night got the backing sewn for my latest UFO, then I can get it on the LA later today. Will make the binding after quilting as I should be able to use the trims for binding.

Three finishes for Sept, in order of age:
The oldest was started by my mother’s oldest sister, who was born in 1903. She made the Dresden Plates, but never appliquéd them or finished the top. 50’s? Found some mint green for the borders.

Next oldest is Daddy’s Trees, which was started when my DD was in hospice in 1994. Designed the double folded ribbon border myself and thought I had invented something new, but not so. They are log cabin trees. Obviously a Christmas quilt

The newest was started last winter. It is my version of the Northern Lights by Gudrun Erla. My lights have more colors and the “spears” added.
And the back, which used all the leftovers.

Now only have—-Jinny Beyer’s Moonglow, JN Amazon star, Dizzy Geese, another of Aunt Fannys’s unfinished tops (bubble gum pink pinwheels). and my DGN Desi’s weighted blanket and everything started will be done. The. We can begin s9me of the ten or so quilts planned.
