Givio, tell Julia her blocks are great. No BOM police in sight.

Givio ~ Part of quilting is adding our own slant on things. Julia's blocks turned out very nice, indeed.

Duckling ~ Love the center on your first block. Both are great.

I can't wait for another block! I hope my enthusiasm keeps up throughout this BOM and the other one I'm doing.

Here is my March block. Thanks to those who posted 4-patch posie settings, that wouldn't have occured to me on my own.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a small iron for quilters? Has anyone had experience with the Steamfast SF 717 mini steam iron? Its on sale for 19.99.

Duckling, at that price, why not give it a go? I haven’t used one myself, but I think most all the inexpensive models work about the same. Mine all run good and hot for 6-8 months, and then burn out (won’t heat up any more.). I think the one I’m using now is a cheap sunbeam.

At the last Paducah show, a vendor was selling these amazing, high performance irons. I don’t remember what all the bells and whistles were, but one feature was that it could never drop brown water on your fabric! It sold for around $300, so I just admired it but didn’t buy. 😇

I just stumbled back on this thread this morning and realize I still haven’t done my March block...

Givio and joe’smom, both great blocks for March. In fact, you have given me an idea and motivation to work on my block. The way you fussy cut and arranged your centers makes me realize that I might use a floral fabric and still make it interesting. Looking forward to April’s block.

Joesmom, your blocks look good laid out together. I like the red corners you added to the March block. Nice touch!

DJ, I hope your enthusiasm stays too, because 'the more the merrier' and won't it be fun to see our finished tops in December?

jmoore, plenty of time left to make March before the April block is posted. Maybe you want to bookmark our thread?

SBG, waiting to see your March block too! :-p

Duckling, Probably you will get more comments about the iron if you post a new thread with the question in the "Main" forum. Maybe someone else has it and can give a review. More people will see the question there.
