Default 365 Block Challenge Photo Sharing

Anyone else doing the 365 days of blocks by Kathryn Kerr? Her blocks go up daily and stay up for 90 days, reappearing every year. I just got onboard this year (2024). I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can share our block photos as we make them.

The first blocks are just 3.5" (3" finished!). Later she moves up to 6" blocks.

To join in on the QAL you need to go to Kathryn's site and sign up.

Here are my first... Jan 1 to Jan 15. I made all of these in one day, so it's not hard to catch up!

Hi SBG, here are my first blocks. Some are January blocks and some are for February. I started late and I’m jumping around a bit. Am having a lot of fun with them. I hope other people find this thread and join in the discussion!

I did this several years ago, and found it to be a real skill building activity. I use to be afraid to deal with small pieces, but this got me over that in a big way. It starts easy and then gets more challenging later.

It's pretty easy to stay caught up on the 3" blocks, but some of the 6" blocks are four 3" blocks put together and that takes a bit more time.

I also completed the bonus blocks, and put some of the extras on the back.

Macybaby, I’d love to see your completed quilt!

Just checked and I have 15 more blocks to make through today. I hope to get the majority done this weekend. Five were done today. Yay!

I started this back in 2016, wasn't quite up to the challenge back then. But as a UFO I'm doing a few a week, I think I'm up to Feb 17th so I'm ahead again!

Would love to see your finished blocks or quilts, ladies. Thanks for the info, Macybaby, on what's coming!

I made these today. Jan. 16-20.

Luckily you can collect the patterns and then do them at your leisure. The only deadlines are ones you set for yourself!

Seven more January blocks from yesterday and today. Hope to get another 2 or 3 done tomorrow. Of all the blocks, the T block was the one that gave me fits. And the colors are not as bright as they appear in my photos.
