you should like these Cathy. I've used them a lot. One word...if you set the steam iron them for too long they will warp. Otherwise I love these.

dd- that is very nicely done!

I'm not making much progress "catching up" this week, too much other things going on that needed to get done by the end of January - but after that I'll have more time again!

cogito - I've not looked at the directions - hoping I don't have to use steam. My main iron is a dry iron and I rarely use the steam one unless I'm making clothing. keeps me from scorching my fingers!

I am not either, ashamed to say that while I started this SAL, I'm having issues keeping up. I've got two projects that are *very* close to a finish, both are gifts, and when they are done I'll be engaging in "selfish" stitching the rest of the year (I sent out handmade gifts last year and didn't even receive notice that they had arrived, so I've decided to focus on stuff I want to make for me this year). That will primarily be AoTH and the garb we need for Ragnarok this summer, so it shouldn't be too long before I can post new blocks.

I'm very glad you did start it! Doing a hand applique project is something I've wanted to try, but without this I may have never gotten around to it.

Kaelyn: You can't wimp out now, remember how you lured me into this project? I needed this catch up week, but like others, I'm not catching up. While I was waiting for my book, I decided to complete a UFO. Seemed like a bad idea to put it away again, so I am completing the flimsy, the pieced back and making the binding before I put it away. As is often said, life just gets in the way. I'm sticking with this project but I will probably be lagging behind. Not really sure I could have kept up even if I had started when everyone else did.

Lol, thanks for the peptalk Emma! I'm not giving up, just had to put it on hold until I get this silly baby shower gift done. I have a baby shower this weekend and one next weekend! So anxious to get back to AOTH though.
