Okay, its not finished, but here is my latest block. Hand embroidery still pending, but I have dinner with friends tomorrow and my niece is staying over the rest of the weekend, so I'll be lucky to finish this block before next week.

I love the flower circles in the hearts! I'm going to be so happy when I can work on my machine stitched set. I'm forcing myself to leave them along until I get all the ribbon sewn on the last set of shirts (and I've not started yet).

But I'm still working on the hand applique ones, if I stop I'd probably never start up again.

maebe42 - I like the soft colors on that one. Are they like that in person(sometimes monitors show things quite differenlty.

I have a tendency to get too uniform (using the same colors in all four groups) - so I'll have to keep refering back to yours to remind myself I do like them mixed up a bit! I don't like the way a lot of them look in the book that are mixed up fabric.

They're a little darker in person - I consider them to be medium pastels. This one is actually pretty true to what is in the book - I think that is the prettiest of the blocks in the book. I'm actually loosely following the color scheme of the book because that scheme will go perfectly where I plan on hanging it.

I'm pretty much following the colors in the book too. Love your colors maebe42. My colors are brighter, not too many lighter colors. I don't usually mix them up either. I need everything to be matchy. Will have to strive for mixed colors like that.

Third block (block 9) ready for embroidery. The colors are a little more vibrant than the picture shows.

Finished 4th block (#34). Don't know why my camera isn't picking up colors right - doesn't seem to like the lighting in my sewing room.
