DD - your blocks are beautiful. I only started this QAL the beginning of March, so I'm behind the curve. I just started my 6th block last night.

And you're on your 6th block already? Wow, that's really fast.

I did the easier blocks first - partly to try to catch up a little, and partly because I consider myself to be a confident(?) beginner at applique and I wanted to ease my way into the more complicated blocks.

Wow,I am totally amazed. Beautiful blocks. My sewing machine has been occupied for the last month with another project that I dont like and just want to finish, so I am behind. Only three completely done, two need embroidery, and two need satin stitching. But drooling over everyone's amazing blocks, keep them coming!

Gee, Macybaby, you're more than half way finished. Were these done by hand or machine? They look so different with a limited number of colors. Just beautiful

I can't wait to see all of the quilts when they are finished. I have the book but didn't get here in time. I figure its just a little bit too late for me to catch up with you all now. So, good luck to you all. I know they are going to be so pretty!!

1piecemaker - you can jump in. we are sort of each doing this as we have time, and several of us are jumping around, picking blocks based on our skill level. IE - doing the easy ones first!

I haven't been working on mine much for several weeks, but DH and I are making a short trip to visit friends in MO and I'm going to cut the pieces for several blocks to take with. I can't sew while in the car (causes severe motion sickness) but I know we'll have some time in the hotel and I can put that to good use.

We're heading down through MO - with plans to stop at Missouri Star Quilt Company on the way - then heading across to IL to visit friends, then to St. Louis to visit some others, and up through Iowa for a third visit, then back home.

Two are online friends I've not met in person yet, so this is going to be a fun trip.
