I've done three BH MQ's and this one is my favorite so far. They are all fun but I really liked the lay out and colors for Allietare! I didn't do the scallop edges, but wish I had.

Thanks Emily, the black, grey, neutrals and most of the reds came from my stash. I did finish another row today so now I only have to finish 2 more rows & then I can start on the borders.

Sophie2, this is my very first Bonnie Hunter mystery. I was drawn in by the colors too and a few friends that kept after me to join. Now I don't know why I ever hesitated ...... well I do know ...... I have been a hand piecer ever since I started quilting 30 years ago and it has only been in the last 3 years that I started to machine piece any of my quilts.

Oh and I'm still trying to decide if I'll do a scallop border.

Thanks, Joe's mom! It is a really neat pattern! I actually like it better than the En Provence.

I've done four of Bonnie's mysteries and this one is my favorite, even though I haven't finished it.

ta dah...finally finished my Allietare and put it in the mail to my DIL's parents who just purchased a new home in Long Island, NY. They had seen the flimsy top w/o borders when they visited our home in Maine last September and they oooh'd and awed over it. They have no idea it is on their way to their new home. Blue bonnets... love how your Allietare finished up and your choice of backing. I forgot to take a picture of my backing before I mailed it...I used Moda's grunge in cream that had a bit of gray.

Sync, you are doing a great job...keep up the good work. It's going to be lovely.
