SunlitenSmiles, your quilt is lovely! I have a black backing with butterflies that I love, but got cold feet about quilting it. Could you please tell me what color thread you used for the quilting? I can't decide between black or white. Also, did you use a white bat or a black bat? I'm usually not so indecisive, but I've never used such a dark backing before. :-)

Ohh, My Goodness, JeanieG, your Grand Illusion is absolutely stunning! I agree with Kassaundra, it looks like stained glass. The sashing, working in the green as an added color to the quilt and then the black and white fabric in the squares, all bordered by the black - wow! The problem I have had with the pattern itself (without sashing), (and maybe it is just the way my eyes track), is that I could not look at the quilts for more than a couple seconds without getting a dizzy feeling, the motion left me nowhere for my eyes to rest. Again, I say: Wow! Thanks so much for posting your picture for me, I totally enjoyed looking at this eye candy!
