waltonalice, I keep thinking that green is just a little too bright too - so I ordered another green yesterday. So much for getting it all from stash LOL
Thanks everyone for your opinions!

I watched from the sidelines with the Grand Illusion Mystery and promised myself I'd join in for the next one. I love the colors and I'm happy to be doing my first Bonnie Hunter mystery. I haven't gotten my paint chips yet and I'm wanting to just use my stash if I can.

I don't live by a Lowes. I'm rethinking my reds. Can you tell me what Bella solid matches the red chip? I have a color chart and then I can use that for seeing what type of reds to use. Is it a dark rusty red, or orangey red or a burgundy type or just dark red red. Thanks

These are my fabrics so far, without the paint chips. They are more muted I think but I like them together. Will have to add a few more neutrals.

This will be my second mystery with Bonnie. Looking forward to seeing what you all are doing along the way. Went to my small stash. Guess I need to use my reds, as it's the only one of the colors I have much of. Used most of my blacks and neutrals up last year for her GIMQ. I'm only doing a lap sized as I sure don't need any more full-sized quilts!

Since I have both the Bella color chart and the Lowes paint chips, I thought I would give everyone a match chart guess:

Heirloom Red 1010-3 chip-----closest to Bella Country Red #9900-17. (Slightly lighter than Barn Door #9900-113)
Roasted Chestnut Gold 3002-3A chip--closest to Saffron #9900-232 and Mustard #9900-213
Afternoon Tea Gold 3002-3B chip----closest to Goldenrod #9900-81
Winter Flannel Grey 4007-1C chip---closest to Steel #9900-184 and Platinum #9900-219
Autumn Fog Grey 4007-1B chip----closest to Bunny Hill Blue #9900-176
Divine Cream Neutral 7006-8 chip-----closest to Porcelain #9900-182
Italian Ice Neutral 7005-10 chip----closest to Ruby Ice #9900-169 and Breeze #9900-132
The Italian Ice chip was the surprise one to me, it is actually a VERY pale light blue/green--not a cream, tan, light gray neutral at all. There is not a great Bella match to it, but the palest blue or green you can find is the closest thing to it.

CAVEAT: everyone sees colors differently! None of the color chips are what I would call an exact match to any Bella swatch, but these are my best guesses based on my eyesight!!

Hope that helps everyone.

Here are my fabrics so far. I had everything but a good gray match, which was surprising to me because I work with a lot of grays. Oh well, will just have to do a little more shopping. In my neutrals, I am using some very pale grays rather than all creams or tans because I think they will play better with the other colors. But who knows???

If I can pull the fabrics from my stash - then I'm going to join in too. And since these are colors I really like, I expect I'll have plenty.

Jeanne, love your fabrics. Your quilt is going to be beautiful. Thanks also for posting the Bella color chart information. I'm sure that will be helpful to a lot of us.

LOL - Yes, I guess everyone does see colors differently. Maybe it is the light in my sewing room too! I have put the colors I got in blue. Most were the same as JeanneS. Love, love my Bella Color Chart! I love Bella Solids!
