Doing the happy dance! I love that gray with your fabrics and am so happy you chose to go with it! Can't wait to see the quilt you end up making.

I am happy to go with Bonnies colours especially after a clever lady posted the DMC colours which we get in Australia. I love seeing every ones quilts and progress photos. Enjoy everyone, remember its a mystery
Wow, lady, you are some ambitious. I just looked all of those up that you mentioned and what a lot of work. I think you all are great doing this. It is starting to give me itchy fingers, I have so much to finish now, I can't start something new, lol.....yet.

I am babysitting today. Maybe I can start tomorrow.
Had no idea what a GO was so I googled it, I see they have a heck of sale on them on Amazon.com. Hummmm, lol.

Ok, I have tried every which way now of doing the HST's and so far the paper piece method is my favorite! Many thanks to who posted the site to get the pattern for it. I use just regular paper from the printer, works fine, and have to say it is so accurate! Doing 18 at a time is making it go so quickly too. The only trimming is one dog-ear on each one.

The broken lines are the sewing lines. The solid lines are the cutting lines. Often times, I will cut the squares apart into individual (makes 2 the same) units. If I want or need lots of the same HST, I will cut 2 pieces of fabric the size of the printer paper, put right sides of fabric together and pin in the corners. Then I just sew on the broken lines, cut apart on the solid lines. Remove paper, press triangles open and cut off "ears". Accurate HST every time. Hope this helps...

Finished Clue #1 today. Since I work Fridays and weekends, I don't get to start sewing when the clues are released each week. It's frustrating to have to wait to get started while everyone else is sewing. At least this first clue was fairly easy, even though there were a lot of them. Any guesses as to what next week's clue is going to be? More HST's made into broken dishes, flying geese, four patches, pinwheels, reds, golds, blacks......it's a mystery!
