I got my first set of 4 ready, but now I need to either commit to the "red" I'm using or switch fabrics.

OH I am thinking the red for sure, would definitely bring it out in the quilt.

If the neutral and horses switched places it would be less problematic. But I think as is, the 'red/gray' pairing is very busy and not easy to look at. I saw that someone else is using their multi-color fabric as the neutral, but then you'd be taking a chance on not having your light in the intended place.

    Yay Kate!!!
So glad you are doing this! I think your colors are great and I can hardly wait to see how they all go together.

Kassundra, I love your fabrics. The prints are bold, but I bet they will make a really interesting and unique quilt. Go for it!

Ok, looks like another learning opportunity in clue #2---I have never used the companion angle ruler before, but since I bought it for this project, I am going to give it a go!! Good luck everyone!

Kassaundra, Wow! You are quick! Thank you for posting and showing us. No advice from me as until we really know what we are doing it is hard to say. Go with your gut feeling is about the only thing I can say. This is so exciting to me! It must be the mystery part of it then to get a clue and know that others are doing this as well. I love my reds so am looking forward to playing with them. Our school colors were gray and red, I didn't care for them then but that was back in the day that your mom either made your cheerleader outfit or you settled for gray sweatshirts. LOL. Yay! Go Team Bonnie!

Yes, it is so exciting! I've matched up my reds and neutrals for clue #2, but I want to finish up clue #1 first!

This weekend we have an out of town wedding to attend, but I managed to get most of the cutting done this morning for clue 2. I will have to wait until Sunday evening to pick it up again.

Thank you, ladies! I did go to the blog, but I went right to the Allietare tab; she must put it on the main page first?

I got the rest of the blocks from last week trimmed up, so I'm ready to start on this week soon. But I promised DH I'd get the trim painted this weekend. At least that won't take long (not like two days to paint the walls/ceiling last weekend)
