This was my reaction, too, that it was unusual for Bonnie to call for matching sets. It stands to reason that all four of a set will be used together in a block, wouldn't you say? I'm thinking of that elaborate floor tile in the intro to Part 2, that Bonnie said was the starting point for her selecting this color palette.

Yes, I thought Roll Roll Cotton Boll was a very pretty quilt when I saw it recently in one of Bonnie's pictures, believe it was in the Show and Tell of one of her classes. I am fairly new to Bonnie's blog, have been following her for maybe 5 months or so. Just looked at the quilt pattern in her Spring Fling book, it's on my to-do list one of these years, let's see if I make it through this, my first mystery quilt, ha!

She did a mystery a few years ago called Roll Roll Cotton Boll (featured in her String Fling book) and it had matching sets that turned out to be all in the same block and the blocks were then set off with string blocks of neutrals. I'm excited about seeing this clue. I loved that prior quilt and hope she's doing something similar with this new mystery. Time will tell.

JeanieG, can you post a pic of your Roll Roll Cotton Boll? I'm not familiar with that pattern and I would love to see it, and I'm sure everyone else would enjoy looking at it. Joe'smom,I was thinking the same thing about the tile floor in Bonnies' picture and have been looking at it for clues.....

well, I think that's the fastest I've ever completed a clue!!
I'm only doing half-size, so only 10 different sets.

Still got the extra squares to cut, but I've all week to do that in....
cheers, K
