Question! I am finally sewing my neutral rectangle to the bottom of my SH geese. But I don't see anywhere in the instructions on which way to press the seam allowance? Am I missing it? Toward the neutral or the geese???

Jeanne S I had the same problem, I found that in the printed out instructions it was not there, but in the blog post I read it said to press to the neutral side. I'm not brave enough to tell her so.

For some reason I am having trouble with this one. What is the width of the red between the wings of gray? The unit comes out 2x4.5 (Usually) but the red seems to be wider than the 1/2 inch it appears to be in her picture.
Oh I am trying to use the ruler method.
    HELP

Mine measures (after sewn and pressed) to 1/2 inch exactly from grey point to grey point across the top. I am using a hybrid idea based on the ruler, but w/ tape on the diagonal on my 6.5 square ruler and 2.5 inch squares cut in half.

thanks Windblown! You are right, I was only looking at my printed instructions, it did not occur to me to go back to the website and re-read it there too!

i also have 1/2" of red between the gray at the top of the unit (the neck???). If you lay your two gray triangles on top of the red piece you should get the 1/2" space to check before you sew.

My space on top is 5/8", I guess it may not matter as long as your whole piece is 2 X 4.5".

I had the same issue, also not with clue 1. Something odd going on with the feed dogs. So, I adjusted the needle and sewed from the center out like I did for the right side.

Also, my test unit was short after adding the neutral strip, requiring an adjustment to my seam allowance. I'm glad I checked before doing the whole batch.
