Fraew, are those shirtings you are using for neutrals? Love the prints.

AlvaStitcher and baronreads, your neutrals are fabulous!

    Sandra-P, your reds are gorgeous.

Krista, your brown constant looks great. The color variations in the fabric should play well in the quilt.

Jane, really love those 30's prints. Can't wait to see your finished blocks.

Podunk I like your music sheet neutral! I was temped to use a constant neutral but picked a half dozen very pale ones finally. I will be interested in seeing how yours turns out!

Emily and Miss Rita, Thank you for your kind words, they do encourage me. The music fabric is so great! Nothing boring about that!

I'm very intrigued about your hunch, Podunk! I had a big surprise with my neutrals -- the ones I thought I'd like I didn't, so I'm now cutting more strips.

So many good looking SH units! I just finished cutting the neutral rectangles, but will not sew them on until tomorrow. Being out of town last weekend has put me behind, but no worries here - it will get done sooner or later.

@Podunk Princess: Hi. Thank you and yes, shirtings. I am doing Bonnie's color scheme in civil war reproduction fabrics. Lots of fun to work with. I hope they work with the overall pattern when revealed.

Help! Bonnie's photos of her units in the Part 2 instructions do not have the side seam allowance that most of your clue #2 photos show. Her triangles go right to the edge of her units. Has this discrepancy been addressed anywhere? The two types of units are not going to go together the same way, are they?

I believe if you look the seams go to the point BEFORE the neutral rectangles are sewn on, adding the rectangles gives the side that seam allowance.

Phew! Thanks Kassaundra! I haven't sewn my neutrals on yet, so wasn't seeing that effect.
