If it doesn't come out well it can always be a picnic/utility quilt!! This is rather exciting.......
Jeanne, I was concerned last year, doing my first MQ, if it would be too hard. Bonnie breaks down the steps into very easy, manageable steps. I am really looking forward to doing my second MQ.

Beautiful fabric assortment, Thart795! Your quilt is going to be amazing. Can't wait to see it as you work on the units.

I still haven't decided what to do about fabric selection. I've got Bonnie's colors in my stash but not sure if I want to go with those, modify them a bit, or come up with something completely different. My last 3 quilts have had reds in them and I'm ready to work with some different color combinations. Need to give it more thought, I guess.

Love how some of you have posted your fabrics, gives me ideas for mine and really does help.
Last year was my first time to do one of her mystery quilts and I made 9 blocks instead of a whole quilt. If you want to save fabric, you could just make a smaller number of blocks. I think I made 1/4 of what she said and then in the end maybe made a few more to get the size I wanted.

I've never done one of Bonnie's mysteries, but I want to try this one. I have plans to give the quilt to my daughter, who wants to take a trip to Italy some day. I hope I can keep up!

Thanks so much for posting the moda color comparisons!!! Now if I can just figure out the Kona Cotton colors that would be great.

The neutrals in my stash are a bit too dark/yellowey/printey...sigh....so went to whites and there were the Divine Cream, and Italian Ice (looks to me like skim milk)and even cream on white print ...soooo....a happy camper/quilter now!

My fabrics. I guess I am going very scrappy. May add the turquoise blue in place of some of the red or gold. Have to see when we start putting units together. The kind of slate blue print on the top left is my grey.
