You are right, I think clue 4 is the hardest yet. If I am reading it right, that is 240 more Santa hats!!! EEEKKK! And by sewing them together it does make an interesting pattern----doesn't look like they will be cut. Well, good luck everyone!!!!!

a few of everything. I had to redo the seams on two 4-patches, and about a dozen santa hats.

I'm a bit concerned that my yellows blend too much with my neutrals, but hey ho, I'm going to end up with something subtle, which is good too :-).

Off to look at clue 4 now......
Siodach! Your 4patches are beautiful! They look great with your other colors!

Help! I've approached the web site from every angle I can think of and clue #4 is not posted on them. What in the world am I doing wrong?

EEEKKK! is right!! So the first part of Bonnie's clue she talks about how busy everyone is, etc... so I'm thinking, Oh, this clue won't be so bad..... more Headless Geese units.... oh but the reds have to match.... but not the neutrals... but the blacks have to match....and Jeanne your math IS right....240.... but only 120 for me since I am only doing half...whew!
Still.... that's a whole lot of sewing and it has the potential to be very confusing!

Although... I am kind of excited that we are actually going to sew parts together. I think the Headless Geese in this clue look like butterflies when sewn. I think there will be some interesting speculation in the block arrangement after this clue!

    Good Luck everyone! Read carefully!
Clue #5 won't be out until Saturday, December 26.
    Merry Christmas.

If you cut the units made in clue 4 in half you'd have flying geese... I know you don't want to hear "cut in half," so just sayin'...

Does anyone follow Free Motion by the River? I can see where both Clue 2 and Clue 4, cut, would fit in a block similar to the one she posted today - or maybe yesterday. Different colors instead of just the 2, but if you look at the units, it could work.

Clue 4! Yikes... it just keeps getting more and more complicated. I think this is the clue where I am going to start falling behind. Looking very interesting, tho.

I'm looking forward to starting on this clue! I made a BellaBella quilt, and many of those patterns used the same type of floor tile work for inspiration, so I'm wondering if this is going to come together in something that is not the typical block layout. No matter what, I'm loving the colors!

Today I have to put in four hours for the job, then I've got a lot of baking to do for tommorrow and Monday. Tomorrow DH and I hit the road around 5am, and I don't plan on being home until Sunday afternoon. I have to work Monday - Wednesday, but then have four days off. By Christmas Eve, all my "holiday" stuff will be over and it will just be DH and I together, so I'll have lots and lots of time then to sew if I don't find time to squeeze it in before then.

And besides - maybe I'll have a new piecing machine to be sewing on come Sunday afternoon!

It's on the main page of her Blog. I don't think she moves it to the Allietare page until later.

I have NO IDEA when I'll be able to work on this clue. My tree still isn't 100% decorated, today and tomorrow are shot, half of Sunday will be spent visiting, we're out of town next Tue-Thur, then it's Christmas! Baking? What baking? Wrap presents? UGH! I just want to see the blocks PUT TOGETHER! LOL I feel like I'm petering out, especially with having to make MORE santa hats!
