Allietare! - Bonnie Hunter's 2015 Mystery Quilt
#972
Thank you, Kassaundra, Jeanne S, Bluebonnets, Alva Stitcher, SunlitenSmiles and joe's mom, for your advice on the piecing thread. Alva Stitcher, I never thought about the black thread being hard to unsew, so grateful for that reminder, as most of my stitching is done at night, whew!

I have five units done! This is going to take a bit of time. Thank you to the person who said that they don't trim until they are sewn together as a unit as that is what I am doing now and it is working better. That said, mine are not perfect, I gave myself permission to be off a smidge. It is ok, I want to be finished, not perfect.

Jeanne S, those look great. Hope mine turn out as well. I haven't started yet. Decided to finish the FMQ on one from the stack waiting to be quilted. Just need to quilt the outside border then I can start cutting clue #4.

There sure is a lot of sewing in clue 4. I managed to make all my headless geese today, and got 7 sets of 4 sewn together, so I'm really happy with my progress. Of course, it did take all day. Good thing I'm the only one here this weekend
I wonder if our layout is going to look anything like this, given Bonnie's "matched sets" instructions. I'm trying to remember how many 4-patches we made, to see if there are enough for both sets of geese (hats & butterflies )
