Oh dear! My DD had one of those and it was half the size of her hand b4 it was drained and taken off. (Can you tell she insisted on using hers anyway?)

Use it wisely and I imagine that much of your creativity and artistic sense will be exercised through the gift making.

Default It's a Horse of Course

It's finished. I even managed to FMQ it. I know you can't see that part of it, but it is there. Except for the addition of the rattail binding, the whole thing was done on my 301. This is the first time I have done any FMQing on it. It worked great. And I greatly enjoyed working on my horse.

Great job! Do we get the story behind the image? I love how you " painted " with fabric!

When I was a girl, I had a little mustang mare named Nelliebell. She and I spent many hours ridding in the desert together. When I would ride with my boy cousins on their geldings, she would follow at the back of the "herd"; but, when I would ride with my girl cousin on her quarter-horse mare, she would flat out run that registered horse all day if I would let her. She was the best little horse I every had.

Julie, your little mustang looks great. I also have a few 301s but as yet have not done FMQing on either of them. Nice to hear you enjoyed it. I do love mine for piecing.

Julie,
I'm so glad you were inspired to make this quilt and share your memory. Let's see if I can get my photo posted now.
