Amy, I will bet you are tremendously creative! You just need to unwind and let it blossom and try a pile of techniques in a safe space like this where you experiment and it's ok to not have it come out great---just look at a couple of my recent efforts...but you'll learn.................

Dotty told me there's an embroidery show at the met in NYC on the 2 nd at 10 am. I was hoping to make it, but overcommitted for that day. Hope it is an ongoing display!

Boy, you guys sure have some goodies to go see. I hope you take advantage of them. There is so much to see and learn out there.

And here it is--technically one day early. This month's challenge.............................
(PS you know if you are working on other stuff we are always happy to have you share that too--we are exploring the idea of arts in quilting here and delighted to see what you are trying to get done)

    OCTOBER CHALLENGE

Well I just can't help myself.... we love Halloween and Day of the Dead around our house. And it is a holiday that has been imported to Chile. So this month how about something is shades of black and.......
BUT-----there is always a BUT right??!

Many other cultures celebrate this day quite differently and here are some links for totally different ideas for the holiday that might inspire you to do something totally new............

    http://www.mexicansugarskull.com/sup...odhistory.html
    http://education.nationalgeographic....uertos/?ar_a=1
    http://www.celebrate-day-of-the-dead...raditions.html

Some coloring pages on that last site that might get you started with some wild ideas!

    Enjoy!

I am spinning with ideas to be ready for the end of the month with old decoration made years ago and new ones I can do with these skull ideas in wild colors...........whoo-hoooo! Great way to get working with some of those prints I'm not sure what to do with.

Just an added note here. The last link above has lots of ideas for us and she has also asked for course for no violations of copyright. Which of course is perfectly just. So go look enjoy get all your ideas but when you make something do not sell it if you got a majority of your ideas from her link.

Her is a great gallery to get your brain spinning for color, shape, technique and other wild ideas.

Wow, great idea for a theme! I may take a weekend this month and play around with it. Changing jobs in two weeks, so I'm not sure how much time I will have.
