A little late but I wasn't going to give up on the ice cube challenge (August maybe). I wanted to try something with heat set crayons so the table is heat set crayons. I also realize that the ice cubes are extremely large for the ice bucket but in TN in Aug the bigger the ice cube, the better!!!

Did you enjoy your crayons? I can only find regulars down here but I am enjoying finding the limits to them too.

You certainly got a nice summer table center topper out of it for next summer. Now I imagine a nice cool glass of lemonade beside those cubes and life is pretty good!

    Suzie,

I thought about putting the melting cube on the table and I also thought about putting a tiny glass on the table to sort of make the ice look even larger. But I couldn't figure out how to do a glass.

I did have fun with my crayons - I've always loved to color! Can't wait to grandbaby is old enough to color with mamaw.

Great little piece dotcom! Love all the color........

Hmm! Do I sense some collusion here?

I have had an unexpected slow down over here. I washed the dog yesterday. A huge fluffy white Samoyed. And discovered, after 2 hours of washing and an hour to clean the bathroom, that he is already shedding huge gobs of fur. A bunch have already matted into grand sized knots??? AGH! That means days of brushing! Oh Man! Pity me! I'D MUCH rather be working on all the art that is on the design board......really!

Think I may try quilting some of that clean soft 'residue' into smaller projects to see how it works. Samoyeds have hair not actual fur so people allergic to dog fur can own them and I get bags of the stuff off him every year. I always promise to spin it into yarn which knits up to a cashmere type fibre that does not smell. But quilting is just more fun so it rarely gets done. I will post if I turn it into batting.

When I was a child, my mom had a woman that helped with the housework every couple of weeks. She used to tell me about how she used to work for a lady that had an Afghan Hound and the dog was only allowed to sleep on a certain rug and part of her job was to brush the rug. The owners would sell the fur to another lady that would weave it into rugs. So you could give it a try!!!

This old boy is used to the run of the house and the yard and would be a monitoring nightmare to try and change at his age---but next new puppy is getting that treatment I think. Containment is a good thing. Right now it looks like a sheep lives here, clumps of white fur to pick up everywhere. (Only for about a month though)

Thanks for that idea. I will work on some new rules around here and see how far I can get.............

Suzie. Are you starting or into spring? I'm looking forward to a little bit of winter! Love to come in from the cold and get all warmed up. The weather has been rainy, but the temperature is quite pleasant. We need the rain, and really, I'd rather have rain than heavy snow! We'll have to find a snow shoveler. I just don't want dh out there breaking, pulling, or bursting some of his inner workings in an effort to move the snow. Frankly, I'd just as soon wait for it to melt! I will make my skull this afternoon. I have been invited to a hilton for the night, and trying to decide if i want to go. Dh goes to sleep so much earlier than me, and i hate to lie there tossing and turning for hours. But the major deal is, i don't feel like doing anything at all.
