You next photo icy challenge is going to stretch you I imagine and since you were brave enough to put it out there in advance I thought I would too. No changing my mind on this one. I love that photo you picked and can't wait to see what you do with it

OK I just found an oddball fabric art project I thought some of you might like to see.

My finished project for the month
Here are the final changes I made to this small project. Darn it--I got so overzealous I forgot to quilt the outer border!! It would have added such a nice texture to the piece--it would have been so much better- Pooh! Gets obvious that I was in a hurry huh? And I can't fix it by putting Qing in now because the corners that I use it to hang it up with it are there sewn into the back sides. But overall it is a little piece that expresses the local frustration and I think it works OK. It will be displayed in a public area of a private bank. Text says 'Free Education for Liberty'. The government is pretty right wing and is supporting policies that encourage expensive private universities and not funding at all the original public universities. (And they do have plenty of $$ to do so--the country has a healthy surplus with no national debt) Silly of them as they need fully educated people to administer resources and grow tje cpuntry in future. (Sigh) They need to grow the middle class not separate people along $$ lines! Enough politics from Chile this month!

I have been without a computer for a while and so I haven't been following the challenges. However I have been trying some different things. I "finished" this a while ago. I still haven't decided if it is finished or not.

Hi and welcome back to the world pollyvan9,
I know what you mean about not quite finished on a work. It is often my lot in life. I like your work so far and agree it still seems to need something more.
My first idea, and you may have already played with this one, is how about some more of those scrappy offset blocks to tie the piece together? I would place them in those 3 panels in an irregular manner I think. Play with making them a little smaller too perhaps. (I am assuming you might have some others that you made for this or another project? Maybe just pinning 2 sides to keep them regular, or fold them in half and see what rectangles look like scattered in those large expanses?
