I really like the blocks so far. Did any one/everyone make up the bags for each block?

I just pick out the fabrics as the blocks are sent to us and cut them out. But I am not using the civil war fabrics.

When Debbie gives the fabric list at the beginning she says cut the fabric to size and then place in bags and mark the bag. I think that is what Jaiade is asking about.

Such pretty blocks made already. I have my fabric selected, except for 6 of the background fabrics. Washed and ironed. I decided to do this in batiks of like colors of this pattern. I'm curious how it will turn out. I would post pics, but having issues with i-pad pics after I updated all my apps last week. Also having issues printing out pics from i-pad as well. So frustrating. Anyway I will be following along starting later this week. I'll post pics when I can.

Mary is right. The directions were for cutting for each block and placing in its own ziploc bag.

Happylab, I have also considered batiks. My concern would be getting enough contrast between light/dark without going to the store for more light batiks. I do know I better decide SOMETHING soon before I'm too far behind to catch up!

I'm just cutting mine as I go.

Once upon a time, there was this nice looking lady that was in our group. The instructor would hand out the directions and of course this "nice lady" would change it so much that her participation was questionable.

I think I have morphed into "that lady." Maybe it is the age. I just need to do things differently or I feel like paddling against the current.

That being said...I am surprised when mine turns out to look much like yours. Thanks for listening to me and including me in the group.
